There is a tale of love long past,
when the hearts of the young together were pressed,
they prayed “love each other and forget the rest”
in there eyes they sewed their dreams
they saw no fear, they heard no screams
and they prayed “love each other and forget the rest”
Against his chest her head had layen
and in his hands her heart laied plain
she prayed “love each other and forget the rest”
In her soul he found a light, brighter and stronger than heavens might
in her arms he slept at night, with no fear all was right
he prayed “love each other and forget the rest”
Seasons came and seasons went,
together all there time was spent
and each day they prayed “love each other and forget the rest”
and as there love was ever so, the trees and plants forgot to grow
day and night forgot to sleep, and all the animals forgot to eat
yet still they prayed “love each other and forget the rest”
On and on time had passed until one day they looked at last
to see a world barren of love
They looked at each other and began to weep.
And as the earth cracked beneath her feet, she looked at him and began to speak
“time has come and time has gone, was our love this wrong?”
he looked at her with tears in his eyes,
and after a long moment he replied
“No, love is pure it is no hex. We loved each other, but forgot the rest”…
